Extremely disappointed with HomeRiver Group in Columbia, SC. They’ve charged me $865 for damages I’m not responsible for—including a broken doggie door that had normal wear and tear from previous tenants, kitchen outlet issues, and plumbing problems even though I provided proof I’ve been calling since move in about it. I took a break from getting the maintenance issues resolved because I went through the lost of my baby Margaret Potter still didn’t care and still charged even though I’ve only been here since January and maintenance requests were addressed in March/April. After I refused to pay, they finally addressed a much bigger issue: my second bathroom floor is literally falling through Margaret has also known about this for over a month. They’ve sent four vendors in a week, not to fix it, but to find the cheapest one. Being that 2 came at the same time and said what they were doing he was uninterested in even doing business to fix the bathroom. Totally unethical and unprofessional. Renters, be cautious.

I’ve been going back and forth with Margret Potter for over month over $981.62. I had automatic payments set up and unfortunately I paid a full month’s rent instead of prorated amount of $312.43 plus $44.95 for air filter replacements that were part my leasing contract. They’re to charge me an additional two days of rent. I moved out on the 7th. I understand repainting the house however, why withhold money when it was never part of my rental agreement. Ms. Potter either avoids or ignores my emails, calls, or voicemails. Or she just says that she’ll speak to accounting with no resolution. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM. I was at 1438 Aralia Dr, it was and still is an outdated home. I lived there with minor issues until now, other than patching the roof leak that caused mold. To other people who rented with them, I urge you to report them to the better business bureau as well.

This company is showing a property available for rent, property wouldn't even be showing for 2 weeks, yet when I applied I received an email saying this property is already rented out. So where's my refund? That is considered scamming or fraud correct?

She ensures that all vendor work is completed as quickly as possible and she is always available by phone or email. She is a pleasure to work with! Very positive experience!
