Solid hotel overall. Room is quite small, bed is comfortable. Water gets very hot, shower and sink were nice. Lights for the bathroom were odd, motion-sensing lights located outside the proper bathroom so taking too long on the toilet or in the shower can leave you in the dark. TV was nice (nicer than more expensive hotels offer), had slight pixel damage near the center but still plenty useable. Mattress had a faint smell of spoiled milk, only if you had your face in the mattress however. The microwave tray didn't spin, but it still worked fine for cooking food. Other reviews about the hallway smelling of food are accurate, but the room and lobby smelled fine so not a dealbreaker. Overall a decent choice.

If you’re in a pinch, this place will do the job. We stayed here for the Notre Dame game and the location was very convenient, which is definitely the main perk. That said, the rooms and common areas could be much cleaner—the bathrooms especially left a lot to be desired. For the price, you’re really only paying for proximity, not quality. Breakfast was very minimal, and the staff didn’t come across as the most welcoming. Overall, the convenience is the highlight, but don’t expect much more than that.

Such a great experience with kind and caring staff! They allowed us to check in early annd upgraded our room to a double queen when we had asked for a cot. They went above and beyond to provide a cot and then offered something better to suit our needs. They also provided free water and great cookies in the lobby. The room was clean and modern. Thank you Quality Inn for making our trip to South Bend memorable!!

Our stay wasn’t bad…. But it wasn’t great either. We had to go down to the desk 3 separate times because our key card stopped working, the shower didn’t drain properly, the water was up to our ankles! The breakfast was mid. Also, no soap?! Shampoo and Conditioner, but no body wash at all. Luckily their saving grace was the bed. It was sooooo comfy!
