HQ Appliance Repair

Sub-Zero Hero We have a 25 year old Sub-Zero refrigerator which has often needed repairs and replacement parts at great expense. Initially the work was by "accredited" repair services, almost always nationwide franchises employing semi-skilled labor. Consequently, every fix we had was of short benefit and was often followed by some other problem. Finally, we found Mike at HQ appliances and have been extremely impressed by all his work. He has always responded promptly to call out requests, communicating arrival times by text. On different occasions he's had to fix both the Sub-Zero's freezer and refrigerator sections, replacing or, where possible, repairing items that were often damaged or incorrectly installed by prior repair workers. What's unique about Mike is that he doesn't just fix the immediate problem but also carefully seeks its root cause and fixes that as well to prevent recurrence. He's worked previously as a refrigeration engineer in petrochemicals and his skill and experience show. He's a meticulous and careful technician, so although he may spend longer on the repair, his prices are at the lower end of those made by so-called "approved" franchises. After completion, he sends follow up texts to check all is functioning as it should. Mike apparently fixes other domestic appliances, and we would certainly contact him should the need arise but from our repeat experience on our refrigeration equipment, he is outstanding, and we give him the highest possible recommendation

Mike has repaired several appliances in our home (washing machine, dryer, refrigerator) and checked another appliance for me to determine if it was worth fixing and recommended a different type (no brand... wasn't selling anything) that broke less frequently and was much less expensive to repair. (He even took my calls during a storm when our standby generator stopped working and offered to come out the next day to evaluate and see if there was anything he could do.) He takes the time to explain what is wrong and what his plan is to repair. Then during repair, he has always shown me the part he has to replace and explains/shows us what is wrong with it. He recommended using a different product in the washer to avoid problems in the future. He cleans up afterwards. His fees are very fair and reasonable and most times he can come the same day or the next. We find him to be very pleasant and knowledgeable and feel lucky to have found him. I keep his number in my phone and he's the first one we call with any appliance issues. Great experience! I don't have to worry that I am going to be cheated or lied to. Very nice guy! Great business!

Great service. He was there within an hour and repaired the dryer, explained to me all the things that could cause it to happen, and went on the roof to clear the vent. I really appreciate it. Would highly recommend
