James Bay Inn Hotel, Suites & Cottages

A good friend and I just stayed at the Strathcona Hotel this past Thursday night. They were incredibly accommodating. We were able to leave our car in the parking lot for the day and then check in later on after shopping and around Victoria -beautiful comfortable two clean beds quiet clean right downtown. Excellent location. we were able to walk everywhere close by and even to the concert and back very safely. Thank you. I will definitely be looking to check in the Strathcona hotel again.Anna was incredible as was Obi.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant overall experience. The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with any requests - especially Elvie and Anja. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. The room was clean, well-maintained, comfortable and the wifi was fast. The hotel’s location was convenient, close to local attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. It made getting around the city very easy.

We had a great one night stay at the Strathcona. It was really central, only a few minutes walk away from restaurants, shops and the buzz of the city. Room was really clean and spacious and toiletries provided were great. Bed was super comfortable and temperature of the room was perfect. There was even a good supply of various tea options, and a coffee machine, along with a kettle. Parking was also super easy just around the corner and we were able to drop bags off right outside the front door and leave our car there for up to 20 minutes which was really helpful. Special mention to Faith who helped us with check-in, she was really friendly and explained the process to us clearly regarding parking and bag drop off, and gave us recommendations for breakfast. Checking out was really easy too, apologies to the two ladies on reception who's names we've forgotten - you were born really helpful in providing receipts and outlining the process for the return of our room damage deposit. Would definitely stay again, many thanks.
