My husband and I moved to Rosalie Place Subdivision in June 2023. We never had an HOA before, and we installed a storm door on the front of the house without approval. Ms Bobbie Kinchen called me to let me know I needed an approval and was so kind to ask if we had ever had an HOA. She was compassionate and explained what we needed to know. About a year later she called me and asked if I would consider being a board member which I accepted. After this I was able to see how she interacts with others and how she genuinely cares about the homeowners and all the board members. When we ask for things to improve our area, like signs, trees around the pond and benches, she goes to work on that immediately. The board approved the quote for 5 trees, and they were planted a few days later. It is a pleasure to work with Ms Bobbie and observe her willingness to serve others.

I would strongly encourage anyone that is thinking about being part of this HOA, to ride through their particular subdivision at night. The rules aren’t enforced, and the staff laughed at me when I asked what we pay dues for. There are weeds that I reported at the front entrance over a month ago that are growing taller day by day. These people think the residents work for them, and their attitude is terrible. I’ll bet they respond and try to blame me for not telling them specific addresses with pictures . That’s why we pay dues so that neighbors don’t have to dispute with neighbors. I’m not riding around and taking pictures, I want the HOA the we pay dues to, to do better. I wish I’d never bought this house.

Our HOA has been using Legacies Management Company to manage our Condominium HOA for approximately six months. Prior to their management, we tried several other property management companies. Besides conquering a change in management companies, we were also faced with a brand new Board of Directors. While change often entails learning curves, Legacies has patiently worked to educate our new board and has given us the confidence to know we are heading in the right direction! The resources Legacies provides, seem to far surpass what we have been exposed to in the past. Ashley, the owner of the company, has made it a point to personally meet with us and has spent time educating us about the variety of services and support they are able to offer. We have a property manager (Lauren) assigned to us to address our needs and concerns. Lauren has been a wonderful asset in more ways than one! She meets with our board quarterly to address concerns in a formal setting, but is available when needed, to answer questions and give us guidance. She of course handles the day to day operations behind the scenes. (Finances, contracts, repairs, etc) She has had to put in extra time and effort as our board was totally inexperienced. Having one person as our “go to” person in the company is a luxury these days! Legacies has an extremely well developed and well thought out Web portal, offering a wealth of information for homeowners and especially board members. They offer monthly web based seminars for training and a full library of training videos through an HOA website. It did not take me long to realize there is so much more to running an HOA than meets the eye. Through Legacies support and Lauren’s guidance, I feel we have made tremendous strides in moving our HOA in a more positive, stable direction. Legacies Management has the knowledge and professionalism to facilitate our success!
