Motel 6 Opelousas, LA

Mike and a few other guys at the front desk were phenomenal. Stayed for an extended period of time waiting for our new home to be ready. Upon checkout we turned our keys in and got a print out of our charges. Was told at check out they just changed the refund policy a week prior to us checking out and prior to us paying for another month stay. We were never informed of any policy change!! We fought for a refund with the manager since we left and her story has changed several times! First it was “I was told you stayed longer” told her to check the cameras. How can we stay longer if we turned our keys in?! Never heard back from her. Called corporate twice. Manager had the nerve to literally scream into the phone with our first interaction with her about the refund. She avoided our calls at all costs about a refund. Mind you it was close to $1000 in a refund because we ended up paying for another month but was able to move into our new home. Last excuse after calls was “you left your dogs here the entire time” I have never ever heard of a manager like this. It’s a joke!! Anything to keep your money in their pocket!! Do not stay here unless you want to deal with the headache of the so called manager playing games!!

The manager of the place is really rude and very unfriendly i would like to talk to the owner and for the way you talk about the Hispanic renters when they walk out it terrible and how you talk to them is terrible! The front desk workers are so high they don’t know what there doing. You need to clean your staff up and your hotel would be better

Wish I could give 0 ZERO STARS... This place is not motel 6 standards and it has drug activities because you smell marijuana everywhere you walk from your room to the office and to the laundry room. The staff are on drugs because they are sweaty and their pupils are dilated and I guess because I was staring at one she tried to justify herself by quoting " I was just swiping and I get sweaty when I sweep," This is not a place that felt safe nor did it have what was advertised on the booking.com website. They have bad attitudes as well and they were talking about guests while I was checking out. Very unprofessional. I didn't leave any of my personal items in the room while I was at the funeral service because I didn't want anything to come up missing. I don't think this place deserves to have the motel 6 brand and they were giving me a hard time about the suite that I didn't receive, saying that it's only available if I book it through studio 6 instead of motel 6 but yet it was advertised on motel 6 website through the booking.com No hair dryer, no coffee pot, and no breakfast... As falsely advertised. They need to remodel or something because this has been the worst quality motel I have been in. Burn holes in sheets and spreads. I dropped water on the floor and dried it up with one of their towels and the towel turned black so the floor wasn't clean. The water was yellow too. My restroom kept smelling like marijuana because someone near me was smoking in their room I guess. I will not be coming back to this place again. My brother and sister in law had their baby with them which is why I booked a suite so we could have room for the baby playpen and walker and stuff, but instead we ended up in a crowded room with two twin beds and no room for the baby's stuff... I suggest that you don't book here. They are a rip off. The only reason I didn't cancel and go somewhere else was because I was there for 3 days and was dealing with family obligations and didn't have extra funds... If I cancelled it would take 7 to 10 business days to get the refund... The washer leaked and the folding table was dirty so I didn't use it. The dryers didn't work well so it took 4 dollars to dry a load. This was overall a bad experience.
