Bank of America offered me a loan for 7%. After waiting 2.5 days, and apparently never submitting it, Navy Fed offered me almost 9%! Worse, she told me to sign it to receive my check, never giving me the interest rate until I asked. Credit unions are supposed to be lower; definitely do not feel that they value members. On top of that, they quoted me under $400 for GAP two-three weeks ago. Today? $500. “It went up” is all they had to say. To make things worse, they won’t let you pay more into the debt for a lower rate unless you refinance with them, and then refinance again. When I asked about lump sum at closing, she said that they can do that, but then said that they would require two applications.

Terrible customer service. I had to wait over 45 minutes just to get a notarized signature when there were less than 3 people in the whole building including myself. Not only that, I was only seen after 45 minutes because I asked someone what was taking so long; she then directed me to a rep who was already there for 10-15 minutes and could have helped me at any time. Not a single word of apology was given to me after this transpired. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes at any other NFCU branch to get a notarized signature… absolutely absurd and floored by their lack of professionalism.

This location had us waiting almost half an hour in an empty lobby. No other customers. Every employee available was visibly just sitting there not doing anything. We were the only 2 customers there. Do better!!
