Shawna is terrific! She listens to my concerns of unusual feel or sounds and gives advice on what needs to be looked at. She always keeps me informed on progress. Recently had new tires, replaced a roof rail & motor mounts. Shawna even called for the courtesy shuttle to pick me up at home when repairs were completed. Thank you Shawna & Chris Nikels team for always acknowledging me and making sure I’m comfortable if waiting for an oil change.

I am writing this to warn other customers to audit their receipts and inspect their repairs at Chris Nikel. I waited 7 months for a parking brake repair on my 2019 Challenger Scat Pack. When I finally brought it in: Financial "Error": I had a receipt proving I paid a $304.92 deposit. Their service advisor insisted I only paid $281 and calculated my final bill based on that lower number. I had to audit my own records to prove they were under-crediting my money. They effectively "lost" my funds and tried to charge me the difference. Wrong/Unsafe Part: I authorized a salvage replacement for an OEM part. Instead, they installed a completely different mechanism (Push-to-Release vs. Handle-Release). On a manual transmission car, this forces you to put the car in neutral/disengage the clutch to set the brake, which is a safety and drivability downgrade compared to the stock handle. I provided proof of the accounting error and the improper part to the Service Director and the GM. I requested a refund for the failed transaction. They chose to ignore the evidence. Do not trust their bookkeeping, and do not trust them to verify the parts they are installing.

After unsatisfactory service at another dealership, I decided to try Chris Nikel’s service department. A great experience that met and exceeded my expectations by far! The Service rep Nigel is very knowledgeable, his expertise with my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport was very impressive, He is even very knowledgeable on my Lifetime Warranty. He is very easy to communicate with, and has gained my trust and loyalty. As a senior citizen, and a woman, service experts like this are hard to find and so appreciated. Nigel’s customer service is genuine and forthright, and his advise was accurate and logical. I will be a regular customer now for service and maintenance on my beloved Jeep. So glad I decided to this dealership and I highly recommend it.

My experience at Chris Nikel service department has been up to this point good, unfortunately when I went a week ago I ended up feeling lied to and with unexpected charges. During when I initially scheduled to have my car come in for an oil change and other things covered by the service warranty I asked the women on the phone if it would be possible for them to check two of my concerns (hvac system and shaking with the car). She said yes and did not mention any cost or fee for it. My car was in the shop for about a week and a half, this was a long time but I understood since it was around the holidays. During the first time I spoke with my service provider Zachary Young, he send a quote for motor mounts at 3k. I declined and after I got off the phone with him I became concerned about any costs associated with them checking stuff so I text him. In the text message I made sure to stress that any costs I needed to be notified before they happen, this is because I am on a extremely tight budget. Zachary Young assured me, "As of right now no you are not being charged! We will only move forward with what you approved or with services that are covered under your warranty!" This was okay and so I ended up not coming and getting my car early. On Thursday around 1:20 I went and picked up my car. I was met with a $127 charge for parts, labor, and tax. I was shocked by this and tried to explain that I shouldn't have a balance since I only asked for services provided under my warranty. The person helping me said that he has to pay his techs and kept repeating that. I did not have the money to pay for this so I had to use my savings. Unfortunately I couldn't stay and try to work it out at the time since I had to leave to get back to work. I don't think it was professional and upfront to tell me I wouldn't be charged and then when I arrive to get my car be forced to pay a $127 bill. I was not trying to get free labor or anything. If I had known about the cost I would not have even asked them to look at it on the initial phone call when I made the appointment.
