OYO Hotel Cave City KY

Very rundown and outdated. Furniture’s got scuffs all over and carpet is definitely undesirable. HOWEVER The room was very clean. There were absolutely no bugs and Trust me, I always look. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. The air condition worked awesome and the shower was great. So as long as you don’t care about cosmetics and all you care about is cleanliness, this is your place. Would definitely stay there again.

Very small property with multiple broken or damaged things inside and outside the hotel room. Our first room the air conditioner was not on when we arrived and when turned on, smelled like an old furnace that hadn't been turned on in years, the lights were burnt out in several fixtures, the door lock was not secured and wobbly, and the curtains were not fully attached. When asked to change rooms the staff member didn't apologize for the state of the room, just told us to get our bags out ASAP and switched the room. Our new room didn't look anything like the previous room, older, however the air worked without smell so that as a bonus! VERY small bathroom and not much room to walk around all of the large furniture in the room. The beds were very uncomfortable as well. When checking out the pool , it's a glorified large bathtub when looking at the size , the water was very cold and the room was very warm and muggy! The hot tub water was so hot it could have burned you and the jets didn't work. The breakfast was okay, just a very small area to get your food and not much seating, unless you prefer barstool style tables. Overall not a great experience and we will never return to this hotel.

The check-in process was easy. Eva, the front desk clerk, was very helpful as well as very polite. However, when I tried to login to the hotel's wifi, the password entry page and the background entry section where both the exact same color, making it nearly impossible to enter the hotel's password. I took my computer to the front desk and Eva was able to show me where on the page to get logged in. Also, this hotel is pet friendly but I struggle to figure out why there is an additional charge for this. I can perfectly understand if my pet made a mess that the staff would have to clean up. But if it didn't, then why the additional charge?
