Ok, when you think of SUPER 8, its a bit sketchy. HOWEVER, this SUPER 8 should be the model that brings the brand back to being comfortable with SUPER 8! CLEAN! friendly! Nice rooms and great price! This is really a nice Hotel located in a decent area. It was welcoming, smiling staff at our extremely late check in, smelled great and I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!
We recently stayed at the Super 8 in Jasper, Indiana, for two nights while attending an event at Holiday World. Overall, it was a budget-friendly place to crash, and not a bad stay considering. Most of the staff we met were really nice and helpful, which was definitely a highlight of our visit. The room itself was a bit of a mixed bag. It had some good points, but then there were a few things that kind of overshadowed the positives. The bathroom door was a sliding one that went into the wall – great for saving space in theory! But this particular one was a nightmare. It kept coming off its railing, and we could never figure out how to get it back on properly. So, for our entire stay, we were just jostling it around, which I'm sure wasn't ideal for our neighbors. Then there was the shower, which had a really weird hole or crack in the floor – just kind of an odd imperfection. And the toilet paper holder seemed like it had been ripped out of the wall before and was just loosely put back in. Every time we went to pull a slice of toilet paper, the whole thing would come right off the wall. Despite these few quirks, it wasn't a terrible experience overall. If you're looking for an affordable place near Holiday World and can overlook some minor maintenance issues, it'll get the job done.
Stayed here for one night and was able to reserve a room very late at night upon arrival. Staff were very friendly. The hotel itself is very dated, definitely worth the cheap price. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, hard as a rock, the carpet was a little grimy as well as the bathroom but not too bad. Close to Santa Claus water park, Walmart and chain food restaurants.
