Absolutely terrible property group. Refused to give us hot water for 4 months then offered to deduct our rent but when the time came they kept making excuse after excuse as to why they were not giving the promised rebate. Left us with holes in our roofs, a leak in our ceiling that resulted in mold growth, and sent incredibly rude and unprofessional and unqualified “workers” to our unit. They also entered our unit illegally multiple times and would cancel work without notifying us. Would never rent with them ever again and will continue to tell people about the atrocities this company pulls.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Royal York Property Management. I booked my showing a full day in advance, then even called again two hours before to confirm. The agent I spoke with clearly stated that Nathan was responsible for the viewing. I drove 30 minutes, arrived 20 minutes early out of respect for everyone’s time, and waited. After sitting there for another 10 minutes with no sign of anyone, I called again, only to be met with more confusion and zero accountability. At this point, I walked up to the property thinking maybe the agent had already arrived. Instead, the person living there told me they have no affiliation with Royal York at all. When I called back, the agent suddenly “confirmed” the same thing yet the listing is still on their website, and I received an email from them about this exact viewing. How does a company advertise a property, book appointments, send confirmations, and still not know who owns what? The level of disorganization is honestly shocking. It shows no respect for people’s time, effort, or basic professionalism. I’m genuinely appalled. After this experience, I wouldn’t recommend Royal York to anyone. If this is how they handle something as simple as a showing, I can’t imagine how they handle anything more serious.

I tried to get Royal York Property Management to deal with a leak in my apartment for two months. It took a lot of effort to get them to fix the issue. The repairs were done poorly by unprofessional contractors. Thankfully all of the tests came back and the mold wasn’t toxic because it was never removed from the walls or ceiling.
