While I may have had my own inadequacies, I still firmly believe iron bridge is an absolutely disgrace as a facility when it comes to patients, organization, and curriculum. Patients are looked at as nothing more than insurance checks. I, as a patient led one of if not the only group that had an impact on my recovery journey. Z, Andrew, Hunter, and Ms.Dee are some of the best people that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Aside from the support from very few and certain employees at iron bridge. Everything else in my experience was a negative. On 7 different occasions I witnessed drugs be brought into tha facility and two of those times were patients who had snuck substances past intake. I witnessed patients who were mistreated, as well as too many hippa rights violations to count. One of the head directors personally stated that they had no solid foundation for there program and asked me as a patient “what do you suggest we do”. The only good things i endured while at iron bridge was support from a select few of the staff, the people I met, and the food I ate. Many of the people who were in the program with me ended up going back to a different program because of iron bridge failing them. They had no counselors at all, no groups at all for NA, only AA. At the end of the day I understand sometimes mistakes are made but it should be taken more serious when your mistake could alter the direction of a persons life. I myself am 4 months sober of drugs and substance but not with the help of iron bridge. Please don’t send your loved ones here. And to Ms Dee and Z personally, thank you for your support.

The staff is wonderful, they met all my needs. Groups were great. The residents became like family. I left in much better condition than I arrived. If your looking for help, give them a chance. You won't regret it

This place is simply unbelievable! Beginning with the staff and nurses and doctors. They are absolutely wonderful ! They will do anything with on their powers to make sure that you will get the best care possible! I promise you that you will not find a better place in Richmond area. They medical detox one of the best. And for those who struggle with options that something to consider. My self, I am a street's guy. I struggled with my addiction for over 30 years of and on. I am not gonna sit here and lie to your that I am cured, no one ever will be. But if you looking for place to start your journey IRONBRIDGE is the place! Give them a try, they saved my life!!!

Ironbridge recovery center is an awesome place to start the healing journey. They allowed time for detoxing before attending groups. Groups were run by knowledgeable and caring staff. My favorite group was the first one of the day where we talked about our intentions/ goals for that day. The medical staff very friendly and proficient. The food is always excellent , plus the facility is top notch. I highly recommend IRC to anyone who finds themselves struggling with mood altering substances.
