Customer experiences
Paid over $3k for a sleep study just to have my car broken into while I was there - parked in the lot they specifically told me to park in, directly in front of a guard stand that was left unmanned. If I’m paying 3k to stay overnight at your facility, then I feel like the place you tell me to park my car should be safe and monitored. Now I have to pay even more to get my window fixed. No word from the hospital, no apology, nothing. The staff that took care of me was wonderful. They also told me this has happened on to other patients and employees on numerous occasions and that the hospital is still leaving the lots unsupervised. I just can’t understand how upper management can be ok with that?
I had my baby about 10 months ago and had such a great experience at this hospital. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was in good hands. I was lucky enough to have the most amazing nurse, Emily! she truly made all the difference. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and supportive—honestly, I don’t know how things would’ve gone without her! The doctors were all very professional and kind, and I felt well cared for every step of the way. I’m so thankful for the team that helped bring my baby into the world. Thank you to the labor and delivery team!
Dr. Jackson is the worst doctor i've ever had. Run the other way this is a horrible doctor in my humble opinion. He dropped me without my knowledge or consent from two milligrams to one half milligram of Clonazepam that I needed for my restless leg syndrome. I've been on this medication for over twenty years. He also didn't trust me. He only prescribed eight thirty five day script. My current provider. prescribes me a ninety day script. He did not like me and I certainly didn't like him because I speak truth to power. I strongly feel that he was out to get me and to hurt me physically with severe withdrawal especially since I called the doctor on call. since his staff was not providing me my medication. He happened to be the doctor on call and was very annoyed. Told me that was the first time he heard of this problem and hung up on me abruptly.. If he doesn't want to be woken up, he shouldn't be the doctor on call. My pharmacist, tryed to intervene by leaving him a message that this was too severe. His own staff tried to stop him from doing this, but he would not listen. I went into severe withdrawal and he didn't even have the decency to make sure I was safe he would not, take me off of this control substance slowly. I complained to his nurse Joey he's another piece of work. All he did was laugh and was very sarcastic and sadistic.,He told me he was not there to cater to my needs. I reported this sarcastic sadistic nurse to his supervisor his supervisor informed me that he was indeed responsible to catering to my needs as a patient. Dr Jackson comes off like a primadana full of hubris and very sadistic. I also feel that he didn't like me because I speak truth to power and i'm a brown skin Chicano, openly gay, and I know my rights. What kind of doctor would cause harm by taking his patient. off of a controlled substance without any consideration for the patient 's, safety and well-being. He refused to take me off slowly and safely. After I fired him, he wanted nothing to do with me. The feeling is mutual. I sincerely believe that he is one of the worst of the worst Doctor in the Kansas City area. Whatever happened to do no harm. I'm asking for a full investigation, and I intend to report this. Doctor and his inappropriate nurse to every regulatory board.I can think of. I'm also asking that, Doctor Jackson's supervisor contact me immediately. Alfredo Parra
I’m writing about an AWESOME experience my partner and I had with RN Cindy in Cardiology. He was having some issues that needed to be addressed immediately, but not an emergency. Although he did not have an appointment, Cindy came out to speak with us. She sat with us and gave him some great information, found us outside to give us ADDITIONAL information and then followed up the next morning with a phone call even though she told us to call her. 😊 This is what nursing is about, caring for your patients wellbeing… Actually caring. We felt that with Cindy and we are super grateful for her!! Great job hiring this one, St. Luke’s!!
