At the ER for severe abdominal pain, waiting close to 2 hrs but no one cares getting the patient admitted, all they say is we do not have a bed/ room. A multi speciality hospital with not enough ER beds/ rooms is pathetic in a prime location like OP. Update: we took a step and visited Menorah ER which is few blocks away and they admitted within minutes and then Dr's took good care there, underwent a surgery in next few hours. Everything was perfect @Menorah right from admission to discharge the next evening.

I would not even take your animal to this disgusting hospital. If there’s ever been an ICU that treats you worse than an animal, it is this place. The patient advocate is horrific, the nurse manager does nothing but interrupt and refuses to listen and the nurses make sure you sit in your filth all day long. If you dare speak about the atrocities, they will call security and intimidate you with long glaring stares until you’re begging to just chop off your leg to get out of the hospital.. The doctors refused to listen to patient. Krista, Barb, Lisa, Janine Are doing their best to see who can be the worst of the worst

I can only speak to the check in & GI department. Check in was smooth & swift. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, & friendly. I arrived early & they let the GI team know that I was there. It was a busy time of day & they were very efficient. A sweet volunteer led me back to the GI area (and my husband to the family waiting area . GI team- TOP NOTCH. I travel an hour to have GI procedures at this Saint Luke's. They are all friendly, professional, & respectful. Dr Clarkston has the BEST bedside manor. I highly recommend Saint Luke's South GI.

We had a 0-star experience in the ER over the weekend and I'll do everything I can to never use this ER again. My mom was in severe pain (10/10 when asked) and the nursing staff had the least amount of compassion for her possible. I reported very nicely multiple times that the pain meds they were giving her weren't sufficient. On the third request I did mention that I had made the request multiple times firmly, but not rudely. The nurse was rude and hung up on the call light call. He (Blaine) was terrible about communicating the process of anything during our stay. If he would have just told us what to expect it would have been an entirely different experience. Instead, he came into the room, completed a task, and left. When I tried to ask what to expect one time as he turned away, he just kept walking and closed the door. We were there for 3 hours before her pain was under control and at no time during those 3 hours did someone come in to ask if the pain medication was helping. I had to track them down each time. The doctor that helped us was fine, but the nursing experience, which is most of the care given, was just terrible. The staff needs some serious patient communication and compassion training.
