Schleicher County Medical Center

I was on a 16 hour road trip and in the middle of no where and became very ill with a stomach virus. I tried everything you can think of to feel better but nothing seemed to work for me. Trust me when I say, I-10 is not the ideal spot to be puking in a bucket. I looked up a place to get some help and stumbled upon Schleicher County Medical Center. They saw me right away, started me on an IV and thoroughly examined me to determine why I was so sick. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. They even ordered my prescription a few hours down the road so I could pick it up and still continue my roadtrip. The staff and nurses, including Tracy, Victor, and the Nurse Practitioner, Marc, were all SO wonderful. Everyone took great care of me and made me feel much better and I was able to get the medicine I needed to continue my trip. Thank you to everyone again! If you are in the area, I highly recommend them. No one wants to have to stop at a medical center, but if you have to, this is the place to go for sure.

This place is a Joke, I blame them for my dad's death. And I wanted his medical records they sure won't give them to us. They going to wait till the next morning to call an ambulance to him to take him to Shannon it was too late by then he had to be put on a vent and never woke up after that. He was a fall risk so give him sedation meds to keep him in bed. Because they were to lazy to help him. I hope this place gets shut down. Yeah they might be ok for stitches ect. But how my dad was treated. Was awful. If I could give no stars I would. And how we found out about the sedation meds. Wow Shannon pumped his stomach. Don't take your family there.

Wish I could have gotten names but the evening staff of 12-30-2019 was outstanding I had to take my nephew's girl friend to the er she had recently had surgery and had complications. 10 minutes they had us out the door. Where from the Houston area and never my 60 years have I experienced better care. Thank you
