SlateHouse Group Property Management

I have had the pleasure of working with Mike Gabrielle throughout my time renting from SlateHouse Group Property Management. Not only has the company been very reliable when it comes to work needing done on the property, but renting through SlateHouse has been very easy. Their online portal is very easy to use, and sends your reminders as your rent is coming due. Additionally, Mike has been very helpful throughout my time at my rental property. I would recommend anyone getting in contact with him if they are looking for a rental. He is there to help and support you every step of the way, from finding you the house that is perfect for you and your family all the way through the time you move out. He has been a tremendous help to me as I am transitioning out of Harrisburg to begin my new job outside of the city. Highly recommend Mike and SlateHouse.

We rented a property which SlateHouse managed and had a horrible experience. The property manager was impossible to get a hold of for anything big or small. The dishwasher was broken in our town home for at least 6 months up until we moved out. The issue was blamed on us for not being available when no one was ever notified or sent out to fix the issue. The issue was never followed up on until days before we moved out. We had a leaking shower that required a personal call, despite submitting a work requisition, for any followup. The repair person was very helpful and kind when fixing the shower. We were very disappointed with the management abilities of this company. I would not recommend if you want your property to be managed properly or if you want to be taken care of as a tenant.

Currently a renter with them and come august will have been a year. I pay $1300 a month and they refuse to fix a sinking foundation. The floors in my three year olds room in the back of the house is completed slated and deteriorating and the floor in my master bedroom is slating as well and you can clearly see from the outside that the foundation is sinking. They sent THREE contractors and the third one was honest with me and said the foundation is sinking and it’s a matter of time before the floor collapse in my sons room. Now mind you my first email was sent 1/18/21 and we are now in June and NOTHING. I work for PA Housing Finance Agency and I am currently taking the steps to report the violations. This company is horrible and refuse to fix anything meanwhile I’m pretty sure they all go home to a home in livable conditions. At this time it’s so hard to find any availability at a reasonable price. If I could I would be out of here come august when my lease is up.
