Customer experiences
Absolutely love Washington baths! We went on a Friday which was their no talking day. Fabulous fantastic idea. I've been to many sauna houses and the conversations can get loud and disruptive. We had an EXCELLENT experience with the staff, all super friendly. The design of this place is spot on. Love that the cold plunge and hot tub are outside. I'm heading back today, since we are only in town for another day.
Washington Baths is zen, everyone welcome space. The vibe is Nordic-industrial chic. If one didn't have access to a hot tub or a sauna at home (and you have the expendable income) an afternoon or evening spent in the lounge, sauna, outdoor hot and cold plunge pools, and cafe is time/money well spent. Most days the saunas are clothing-optional and gender identity segregated, with the community areas being clothed / bathing-suited. Bring your own towel & sandals. Great place to catch up with a friend as long as it isn’t a silent Friday.
Beautiful, clean facility. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Love the unlimited time for each visit. A lovely place to sauna, relax, read. Wish they offered more gender queer/neutral days as the saunas are gender-separated. Feel like this cuts down on community time as the courtyard is meant to be quiet (unlike others, I like this a lot - but I do want to enjoy the social aspect as well as the contemplative).
Wasn’t sure what to expect, but Washington Baths delivered. Clean setup, good flow between the sauna, cold plunge, and showers. The energy in the space was low-key, and respectful. People clearly come here to reset, not perform. Staff was friendly but not overbearing, which I appreciated. I did a few sauna rounds with cold plunges in between, and by the end I felt like my nervous system had been wrung out and rebooted. Definitely not one of those loud gym-style saunas, this was more intentional, and almost meditative. The clientele seem pretty savvy as well The only downside? Wish I had more time. Would 100% come back, it's a great spot to breathe, sweat it out, and walk away feeling like you gained back a piece of yourself.
