Customer experiences
It’s been said the body keeps score. I’m 50 and newer to yoga the past couple years. The Gentle Flow class with Vita has been the weekly reset I never knew I needed. She guides a welcoming, peaceful and consistent practice. This class has taught me to focus more on intentional breath work than achieving perfect poses. I leave feeling restored levels of energy - mind, body, and soul. Ready to “create a wonderful day” like Vita says. I’m especially grateful because the lovely owner Samantha opened her studio to guests of Julien’s House like myself to join regular member classes. My experience at Strong Body has been the most healing part of my journey, without having to share whatever I’m struggling with… I simply get to show up for myself, on my mat, exchanging heavy energy for light energy. I highly recommend anyone at any level giving them a try!
What I love about Strong Body Yoga and Fitness is the location, the classes offered and the instructors. I usually go to the Slow Flow yoga class and I am pretty new to yoga. Sam is always encouraging and she, the instructors and the other participants don't judge you if you are struggling to do a pose (or if you have terrible balance like me and fall all over the place). Every Slow Flow class I've been to is completely different than any other and each one of them is challenging in a different way. I've been to several of these classes with different instructors and they are all amazing and positive people. The Sculpt class is good too; the time doesn't always work for me, but whenever I've attended, it is a great energizing workout and Victoria is a great motivator. I am really glad to have this studio so close to my neighbourhood and to have met such great people there. I like that Sam has offered Beginner Yoga Classes which are especially great for people new to yoga and are intimidated, Sampler Classes (3 different classes in a 90 minute session) and is having a Friday Night Friends night, because I can try out other classes and also bring some friends so they can try it out. I am very pleased she chose to open this studio in Yorktown Square.
Strong Body is an amazing studio! The instructors are wonderful. They are always there with big smiles on their faces…they are super encouraging and extremely knowledgeable. The atmosphere is like no other! I like smaller studios as it’s more personal and cozy. I absolutely love it and would not go anywhere else as this studio has helped me so much in so many ways! Can’t wait for it to re-open so I can get back at it 🤗
Awesome work, such a friendly and professional environment. I knew no yoga when I joined, but felt totally welcomed and helped in the classes. I brought a number of my friends here and they loved it too! When I was taking classes daily for about 4 months, I saw more improvements in my mobility and muscle growth than I had with 2 years of regular gym going!
