Super 8 by Wyndham Centerville-Richmond

We have stayed here a couple years ago and had such a positive experience, we chose to stay again over the 4th of july weekend this year. We will not return again. The price point was cheap, same as last time. The room this time left something to be desired. Coffee pot didn't work, all the outlets were being used so couldn't charge a phone. They did give us a 6 outlet extender but seriously it shouldn't be necessary. The staff was phenomenal but the hotel in just 2 years became very run down, the whole property has. Everything is definitely dated. The shower head had to be on a massage setting to even remotely have any pressure. The bed was comfortable but like everything else the bedding is older and outdated.

Do not believe the online pictures… this place is a dump! There were abandoned cars in the parking lot. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful but that’s about it. No a/c in the lobby or hallways.. it was more comfortable outside. Our first room was in terrible condition so we requested a different room. We were moved to a king deluxe room and the a/c didn’t work. We got fed up, left and went to another hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I called the national Oyo Hotel number to ask if they price match Expedia price, the gentleman I spoke to said yes, we can even give you a better price, which of course I said ok I’ll book with you!! So I booked the room & we went to check in & the local hotel said that the national line did not charge us enough & they automatically cancelled my reservation, without even letting me pay the extra which I would have done!! The lady at the front desk is absolutely the rudest person I’ve dealt with at a hotel EVER!! They never sent me a receipt for the over $500 that I paid, it was for a week, I even reserved another week, thank god I didn’t pay for it yet!! Now 10 days later I still don’t have my $500+ back!! They take it instantly & then less than 2 hrs later THEY cancelled my reservation & refused to give us a room!! The national line keeps telling me you’ll get your money, just give us some time. It’s been 10 days & every communication I’ve had with them via email has said they are giving me a $0 refund, but the national line says oh no you’ll get you money back, just give us time!! How much more time do you need!?!? Just beware that the woman at the front desk is the rudest hotel employee I’ve ever dealt with. And lastly, while I was on the phone with that woman at the local Portage I-94 hotel, my bank flagged the transaction as fraud, so because they didn’t get be me the services I paid for I said no, so now my bank is investigating them!! I am reporting them to the BBB!! Don’t give these people your money!!!!
