Upon arrival there was a sign posted on the door that the pool was currently out of service, which was no big deal as we weren’t planning to use the pool. But then the elevator was also out of order and the side entry door was broke with weed whacker type string used in place of a handle. Upon entry in the room my husband saw some sort of bug on the TV stand scurry up and behind. He pulled out the furniture to see if we could determine what type of bug, but couldn’t find the bug, only all sorts of food debris that had been there for quite some time. Asked to move to another room. My husband checked that room before the rest of us entered. Bathroom had evidence of leak from above with mold growing. Night security door latch was broke/missing. Overall appears as not well maintained. Noticed quite a few people hanging out with staff; almost like they were either living there or just visiting employees but who does that at a hotel? Definitely wood not return.

Booked through booking.com a few days before our vacation for our anniversary. Hotel just says Huntington and didn’t specify that the hotel was located in Indiana and not Huntington California, we didn’t realize this mistake up until check in on the day of when we realized the address didn’t match up. When we tried to call to explain the situation the lady at the desk said they had a same situation a week prior with another customer thinking they were located in California as well. Even after going though dead ends of trying to dispute the booking to get my money back we lost for our anniversary, they are still asking for proof that we didn’t know the location was in the wrong area for me to get my refund back. At this point it’s just frustrating as I’ve explained multiple times and talked to multiple different people and sent emails about the situation and was told I would be getting my refund and that they understood the situation and yet I still haven’t and am still being asked to send proof weeks later. Quite ridiculous and upsetting.

Every year we come the hotel pool is always down. The maintenance on the building is lacking. Linens were stained.this year they charged my granny card $200 when they were only supposed to charge her $156. When she called they said it would be fixed. They never fixed it and when she called the lady told her you signed the paperwork so it’s your fault. The paperwork she signed was for room damage not pricing. When she asked for a call from management the lady told her there is no point in them calling back. I recommend if you don’t want to be charged for unwanted charges DO NOT STAY HERE. They used to be good but the new owners are horrible. This is 4 rooms they will be losing my business for.

I found 4 cockroaches in my room in the middle of the night. 3 babies and 1 adult, the babies were all found in the bathroom and the adult was found on the outside of the bathroom wall in the dining room/microwave area. It took a bit of time with the night receptionist contacting her manager and waiting for a response, but she (the manager) eventually gave the okay for that night shift person to refund my money. And we went to a different more expensive Hotel to avoid this situation again. As I was not about to stay there any longer allowing time for roaches to get in our bags and drag home with us to start an infestation there. But I did show the bodies of those roaches that I had smashed and picked up with a wad of toilet paper to the night receptionist. So it isn't like I was trying to get a free room and "claiming" that they had roaches or trying to give a bad report here for nothing, I showed them proof. But after talking to a receptionist from our next hotel we got afterward, they said that this place is known as having roaches, and that they've gotten a lot of this hotels customers for the same problem. So that makes me wonder how long this has been going on. And I'm unsure if the Board of Health even knows or if it's been reported.

Super 8 by Wyndham Indianapolis South is a hotel.
