Worse experience ever with the Emergency Staff at this hospital on Transmountain. I was dropping my 93 yr old mother off at the Emergency and could not stay due to an appt I had at 3:30pm. It is now 3:10 when we arrived at Emergency. I was trying to explain to the receptionist the meds my mothers took and what was going on with her. I also explained that I had to get to my appt and could not stay. The lady shut me down, gave me a sticky note to write it down which was great, I would have taken it better with a open caring attitude. Then they called my mom's name while I had just finished writing all the symptoms, med info and times my mother started to experience feeling bad. The second person prob a CNA taking vitals was so rude, she stated that she is not the one to tell this information... BOTH THESE LADIES SO QUICK TO PUT THE STOPPER ON WHAT I WAS SAYING. I explained again, since she did not hear me the first time, that I could not stay and that I've written the info for whoever will be helping my mom. She told me to just put the sticky on the table... it seemed that it was more urgent to get my mom's vitals and not worth her time than listening to what I had to say. She did not even look at me as she was trying to shut me down. I don't understand why a medical professional can't just stop...take a moment to listen to a patient, or in this case a 93 yr old patient's daughter, to assess if what they have to say may be important, or to help assess the situation at hand. Why are these type of women in the medical field if they can't even take a moment to stop what they are doing to listen to the patient/customer or their family. What are you there for if not to stop, listen and assist? Horrible attitudes shame on you ladies! I could understand if you were so busy. You weren't, it was a very slow time. We were the only people there in the front. They called my mom within 5-10 mins from checking in. No excuse for your poor attitudes!

I have been going to Physical Therapy and this department is excellent. I was referred for hip/back pain and pelvic floor and Katie treated me with amazing care. Dry needling is one of their specialties and Katie and Alex have given me such great relief of some chronic pain in my hip, neck and back!! I also want to give a shout out to Eden who treated my shoulder and neck and was always very friendly, caring and skilled. She also worked with a couple UTEP students and included them in the plan of care and exercise program !! Jonathan also treated me and his traction and massage techniques also helped me. I am an active and working older woman and thank them all for keeping me moving and able to work and enjoy life!!! Please keep them in mind for any orthopedic or rehab needs you or your family have :)

I came to the ER with extreme chest pain & the team of nurses were amazing! I want to give recognition to nurse Damaris, Elise, and Anna for handling my care so well. They were quick getting me situated and examined and provided such comforting care. I am so thankful to have come to this hospital during this scary time in my life!

Type one diabetic that was brought into the ER with Gastro abdominal pain. The treatment in the ER was extremely long, laying in a very uncomfortable bed for 8+ hours while they waited for a room. The night crew was amazing the day crew not so much But the night crew news that I hadn’t eaten in over 24 hours didn’t eat all night was told I would get a meal at 8 AM by 930. Somebody else’s meal was brought into me and I could not Have it. They told me they were going to talk to the nurse and have some food brought up. An hour later, there’s still no food and I go out and talk to the church nurse and she said she’s going to have them bring something up what they brought up was not only on appetizing. It was completely uneditable. I wouldn’t serve this food to prisoners. No offer of a beverage no nothing why am I paying you for healthcare when you can’t even get a simple meal, correct?
