Customer experiences
We have been planning a major bathroom renovation for some time and after recommendations from friends visited the P&H Shop to discuss our requirements. We first met Jacques, the owner, and were introduced to Jennifer, the shop manager. From the moment we walked in until the renovation was complete, we were totally impressed with their professionalism, knowledge and customer appreciation. After outlining our requirements along with a scaled drawing of the room dimensions, Jennifer drew up a detailed plan which fit our requirements to a "T". Their attention to detail was exceptional, and over a couple of visits we confirmed tile patterns and selected the tub, shower and toilet fittings and cabinetry, all with hands on help from them. Renovation start was on 15 Oct and complete on 23 Oct, as planned. The installation was done by Rob, Andrew and Daren. This team was outstanding, worked very well together and completed the job as planned. We were very happy with their work and appreciated their suggestions regarding detailed installation. Overall, this was a very happy experience for us. We have no hesitation in recommending the Plumbing and Heating Shop for your bathroom renovation project.
Oromocto Plumbing and Heating were in to renovate our master bath. Amazing job! Everything went pretty much perfect.. Actually better than perfect. They took our vision and made it a reality in the time they said: 6 days! Came on the day they said they would and left on the day they said they would and completed the job! Quality is top notch and no issues. Honesty 100%! You really do get what you pay for! They do what they say they are going to do and more! Basically our vision of having a Ritz Carlton Bathroom as our master bath was done and more! Love it! Thanks Jen and Jacques and your team!
They did a great job helping to navigate the Greener Homes process and were also very competitively priced for the install of our ducted heat pump. While they sometimes take a while replying calls, emails were answered quickly and thoroughly. The tech that came for the consult was excellent and was able to answer all our questions. I was disappointed in the actual install - the team initially put the interior unit in the dead centre of the room, to the point it was difficult to get past. They then came back and moved it closer to the wall, but didn't bother at any point orienting the duct connection so that the unit would be snug to the wall. As a result, the new unit takes up the same floorspace the the old wood and elec furnaces did together - lucky it's a big room. Additionally, they drilled through the house's 2x10 rim joist rather than just dropping the wiring down 6" and avoiding the wood. Edit to clarify (as in pictures): This unit was to replace two units, a wood and an oil. The install team chose to position the new unit where the wood furnace had been, leaving 14" of dead space between the new unit and the wall, rather than putting it where the oil had been, which was snug to the wall. the drilling was done to pass the HVAC hoses through between the indoor and outdoor units.
Reception lady was arrogant on the phone. Was telling me misinformation about heat pumps. It is clear that there goal is to sell a one size fits all solution. When i tried to explain my situation and that i wanted it added to propane she asked me why i would ever want that. She told me a electric backup wasn't required for cold weather and was only for if the heat pump broke and I didn't need to worry about the cost of the electric heat. Edit- it had nothing to do with the gender or superiority but play the victim, when im trying to plan something as big as a house, I want a company that will go over options and solutions to my problems. When you tell me something different than three other heat pump companys tell me, any reasonable would question why your company can sell a miracle heat pump that works on any temperature. To tell me that the electric backup won't kick in in a average winter is incorrect simple as that.
The Plumbing & Heating Shop is a plumber.
