My partner has only recently joined The Worthing Medical Group which this is a part of, I belonged to this surgery for some years. I can honestly say that they have been truly wonderful & everything you could hope of a doctor's surgery & more. My partner recently had to have two rather dramatic operations to remove Cancer (successful). One of which was a neck dissection to remove some lymph nodes, this operation left quite a considerable scar with 20 staples across the neck. Not only were the staples removed at the Heene Road Surgery but when the inevitable swelling caused some considerable distress & discomfort to my partner, she was able to see a Doctor when she really needed too. The Doctor was able to deal with her distress immediately & perfectly, the discomfort will need time. Thank You Worthing Medical Group For being there every time I needed you.

Took my 65yr old father to your surgery today, we were going to be late so you were contacted while my father and I made our way. After a quadruple heart bypass just 13 days ago, personally I don't think he should have been out but, we were told they " No longer supplied home visits". So we turned up, all be it 12 mins late, only to be told quite passive aggressively that he couldn't been seen and they had made an appointment for 2.30pm tomorrow! There were just 2 people in the surgery waiting room yet the receptionist was adamant he could not be seen. Regardless of being 10 minutes late, any human being seeing the blood dripping down his leg and his condition would have spoken to a doctor and seen if he could be squeezed in somewhere. To be turned away when the waiting room was 'empty', I think, is disgusting considering his condition at that time. The receptionist needs to use some compassion with certain situations. I took him home and rang 111 who immediately sent an ambulance to his home address. The paramedic asked using the paramedics words, "why could he not been seen by the local Community Nurse at home?" When I told them, "They don't do home visits", I was told "This information is 'not correct' and considering your father's condition he should never have been out." I totally agreed.

Can't fault the service I received at Heene Road Surgery today, the two ladies on reception were polite and friendly and Michael who took my blood was wonderful x

Absolutely useless. Avoid. You can't visit to book an appointment and it's virtually impossible to get through on the phone. If lightning does strike and you get through they will advise you, whatever your ailment, to go to a private clinic. What is the point of a GP service if you can't use it?
