Hotel was clean and guest services pleasant upon entry and check out. I was worried reading previous reviews but now that we visited think it is just whiners who find fault. It is an economical hotel with small pillows (4 per bed) and a normal continental breakfast. There was lots to eat, hot boiled eggs and coffee/tea. Good stay.

The hotel was very clean. You could tell it was old but well maintained. It was close to the Quebec border which was nice. I found it rather pricey. The room with tax was over $300 for one night. It was the most expensive that I stayed in on my vacation for the lowest star rating. The breakfast was okay with warm hard boiled eggs, cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, juices and yogurt. The staff mostly spoke French but could speak and understand English. There is no microwave in the room but there is one for use in the lobby.

When we arrived the receptionist checked us in quickly, and gave me the access key. Paid for the room upon arrival. Had requested, and was given an exterior access room. Key card didn’t work. Had to unlock through the interior access. Thought for a moment the heat and hot water were just not working as it took so long for everything to warm up. Was told there was no other room that was pet friendly. There is a small pool and small fitness centre. The rooms don’t have their own coffee maker, the machine, accessible 24-7 is near reception. There is also a public internet access point there. For $128 I’m not going to complain

This hotel is terribly old and dated. I would guess nothing has been done to this unit since the late 90s. The a/c didn't work... well if at all. The pillows were awful and tiny. We woke up and found several spiders crawling around the bed including from under a pillow. The breakfast was absolutely nothing special and we noticed the owners/managers watching everyone while they ate, presumably to make sure no one took too much food. The coffee and tea "cups" look as though they were purchased from a dental supply company and held about 4-5 sips of coffee at a time only. I would never stay there again and would recommend no one else stay there either. For a little more money (and this place was far from inexpensive) you can stay in a much nicer place. I even went to the fitness room which had all of the equipment run off multiple extension cords and even the treadmill had the ground prong ripped off so it could be plugged into a two prong extension cord! Terribly unsafe. The room had two doors, one into the hotel hallway and the other to the outside parking lot. The parking lot door had a poor excuse for a lock and didn't feel safe at all. And those are just a few things we noticed.

Travelodge by Wyndham Edmundston is a hotel.
