Not been to a Travelodge before but thought to give it a try. Expected it to be as you see on advertising. Clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful; struggled getting connected, kept having to go back 3 times as key did not work on door with luggage. Not particularly impressed you have to pay for parking. Food awful not because of the cooking but because of the I ingredients they used. I am fussy about healthy ingredients like a basic potato , beef Pattie, bun but all were awful. I stress the staff did the best they could and were friendly. Passages smell like old cigarette smoke- assume carpets need replacing. Internet access requires your date of birth, email and telephone number. Is this a new thing and they can use it for advertising and marketing purposes and you don’t have an option to decline. That can’t be right. Invasion of my data protection. And you had to pay for it.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the road into Oxford with frequent bus services into the centre running from just outside. Staff were welcoming and helpful but our room smelt pretty awful - guess it was the carpet as all the linen was fresh. Unfortunately, it was far too wet outside to open the window and we were in a ground floor room facing the car park, so wouldn't have felt secure without a closed window. The beds were comfortable but pillows were a bit lumpy and we had to ask for another one.||Breakfast was mixed: again, staff were great and the range available on the Thursday and Friday morning was decent and perfectly good - they even cooked vegetarian sausages for us on request. Saturday was poor as there was only one member of staff and despite his best efforts, he couldn't keep up with filling up the buffet or clearing plates. ||

The accommodation was clean and warm with all the basics available. The duty manager was very helpful with our booking and facilitated a change request without quibble. The other staff were as equally helpful and cheerful, especially Santos. Overall they made our stay easy with the service being above our expectations.

Booked a super room as it was advertised as being in a quieter area.. what an absolute waste of money, this has got to be the noisiest hotel ever, the air conditioning controller was hanging off the wall and the PAID FOR WiFi was shockingly bad. Ended up using my phone signal to create a hotspot. Since when has WiFi been a paid for extra ! |Staff told about the controller hanging off but didn’t seem bothered at all. Save your money and stay elsewhere ! £130 for one night in this place is an absolute joke, plenty of better or cheaper options available.
