Had my husband in ER for spitting up blood, short of breath & his legs were swollen. He is 86 with AFib, AFlutter, Congestive Heart Failure, PAD, Kidney Disease Stage 3B, Diabetic, COPD. The ER doctor ran an ultrasound on his legs & did some blood work. She never checked his heart or lungs & he takes blood thinners. His O2 when we left was only 92. She told us he'd been in twice for spitting up blood & they couldn't do anything else for him, he'd have to see a Pulmonologist, earliest appt is 5 months away. Was made clear not to go back. I am still confused as to why they didn't keep him overnight for observation. It's been a few weeks and he's still spitting up blood. Can't get into see the cardiologist for another month. Don't dare take him back to this ER. Don't get me wrong, we've had wonderful caring people on call that have waited on us. We've also had PA's that don't care and make it clear to patients that you're not welcome.

I have frequented the ER here several times due to chronic migraine and the medical team is top notch. They're busy, but they take the time and perform due diligence every time. Dr. Bergsma likely saved my life last year. I went to the ER for an unrelated issue so she ordered a CT scan and found a very serious problem that required surgery. I also appreciate the customer service in general and today provided by Tonya. She is very helpful and proactive.

I want to put a good review on here for the staff. I went in earlier this week with shortness of breath, chest tightness, and numbness arms. They were fast and to the point to check me out to make sure there was no scary stuff going on. I also had back pain as well, and they were trying to help with that as well. The Dr's and nurses all were so kind and attentive.

Im hospitalized right now in ionia. They have the most amazing staff taking care of me. I couldnt ask for better people. They are caring, empathetic, polite, professional and happy to see you every time they walk in. Thank you soooo much everyone.
