I have been a patient of this clinic since Dr. Murphy was actively working. My family sees DR. Crosby and she is amazing, knowledgeable and helpful. We love how she takes times and listens to us. There may be a long wait for her even if we have an appointment but it is definitely worth it. We moved far from the clinic but still comes to see her. The receptionists are very kind, hardworking and friendly. It saddens me that some patients think they are lazy. As a patient, i have waited at the reception area even when the clinic is close (and we are still waiting to be seen as Dr. Crosby is very thorough). I have observed the way they work. Receptionists does not only answer calls and books an appointment, they also have other things to do. They eat their lunch late while working to make sure they get as much job done, they answer e-mails (from my experience) even after hours or before 4 in the morning. They check in patients and do more. Is that being lazy? I don't think so! Me and my family greatly appreciates the doctors and staff at this clinic. They are bunch of wonderful people.

I’ve been looking for a doctor to help me with my PCOS for about 5 years. I had been turned away from a doctor at the Alberni Medical Clinic for no reason and when I went to the Granville medical clinic I saw Dr.Sharma and explained I’ve been looking for a family doctor to help me seek care for my PCOS and mentioned it’s been hard to find one and that I had been turned away and his next question was “if you feel comfortable I could take you on as my patient” without hesitation, he listened to me, showed he cared and wanted to help. His level of care for me as a patient has improved my quality of life. When I mentioned I have mental health struggles he made sure to ask if I had a supportive community around me which no doctor has ever asked, this showed he really did in-fact care about me as a patient. Most doctors treat you as a number, Dr.Sharma did not, he treated me as a person and one he wanted to help. I cannot express my gratitude enough to him and this clinic as I’ve finally been able to treat my illness I’ve struggled with for almost a decade. Also for anyone who is leaving one star reviews, they clearly do not understand what kind of strain the Canadian medical system is under and the restrictions doctors face that prevent them from treating more than one issue per visit. It is not the doctors fault it’s the Canadian medical system and unfortunately it’s out of everyone’s hands. If you want to complain about wait times, not being able to address more than issue per visit you need to take it up with your local representatives NOT the reception staff or Doctors that work hard to ensure everyone is seen and their care is a priority. All the staff of this clinic has always been nothing but nice and kind and understanding. I’m sad he won’t be my doctor anymore as I’m moving provinces. I recommend this clinic to anyone I know who is needing a walk-in or a medical appointment.

This is not a review about the doctors at this place. The doctors are great and the one I deal with is the best. My complaint is about the lousy receptionists. They’re lazy and don’t really care about putting people on hold indefinitely. They will put you on hold impolitely without warning and purposely disappear. That’s if you’re even lucky to get your call answered in the first place. You will be on hold for several minutes with nobody coming back to you on the phone until you have no choice but to hang up. I think they want you to hang up. I have witnessed their inefficiency while at the clinic too. I would say they’re the worst in Vancouver and if this clinic gets low ratings, it’s because of them. They can easily be replaced by much more pleasant and efficient workers.
