I went to see Donny after a mountain biking fall left me with some neck pain — my first ever visit to a chiropractor — and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Donny was amazing: professional, approachable, and really took the time to explain what was going on and how to recover properly. He made the whole process comfortable and informative, and I left feeling not just better physically but confident in how to manage the healing. Highly recommend Donny for anyone needing care after an injury or just looking for a great chiropractor.

I have struggled with back pain for years, and Donny Mackintosh at West End Physiotherapy has been an incredible help. He created a personalized stretching plan that I used daily, especially during flare-ups, and it’s something I can continue to rely on in the future if needed. This, combined with a mix of massage therapy, targeted muscle vibration therapy, and gentle manual adjustments, which worked together to relieve my back pain and improve mobility. The treatment has been extremely effective. I’ve noticed a remarkable improvement in my day-to-day comfort, and I am now pain free! On top of that, the reception team is efficient, accommodating with bookings, and always warm and welcoming, their customer service is truly top tier. I highly recommend Donny and the team at West End Physiotherapy!

Incredible place! Every aspect of the experience was top tier: treatment, scheduling, customer service. I came here for my lower back and my left knee. I’m about 3 years from an annular tear and about 6 years post ACL surgery. No surgery for the annular tear and my post surgical rehab for my ACL was questionable at best. Given my sports background, I thought that pain from my injuries will always linger for the rest of my life. After my first consultation, Bryan Yau provided me with (1) a clear diagnosis, (2) a treatment plan with goals, and (3) a clear timeline for the treatment. Although I was skeptical at first with the goal of being pain free, I attended all the appointments and followed the treatment plan. *Spoiler* it was a time commitment that required daily exercises for about 2 months. Coming here and committing to the treatment are some of the best decisions of my life. I’m at the end of my treatment and the lingering pain is gone. The treatment enabled me strengthen the muscles that I need to support the injured areas. In addition to no longer having lingering pain, the treatment helped me understand my body more which has helped with managing my activity loads (gym, MTB, BMX and ball sports). I am still not at 100% like I was when I was before the injuries (but I guess who is), however, my treatment at West End Physio Therapy has me closer to that than ever before. The treatment here has made me believe that it is possible for me to get back to that. Bryan is an incredible physio. He is very knowledgeable and has the credentials to back it up. Besides the time commitment, treatment is also a financial commitment. Unlike some medical professionals who, frankly, milk their patients with extra sessions or unnecessary service recommendations, Bryan gave it to me straight with only necessary appointments and services. The treatment worked even without a super long plan (mine was under 2 months) or extra fancy services (I got dry needling and shockwave therapy). I presented both my back and knee problems to him during our first appointment, fully expecting he will treat them separately which will result in a longer treatment plan. To my surprise, he treated both injuries (back first then together with knee after several sessions) within the timeframe he provided during the first visit. Bryan’s clear timeline, treatment recommendations, and discipline to stick to the timeline has given me a bit more confidence on medical professionals lol. Highly recommend Bryan to anyone looking for a physio. Hopefully not, but given my active lifestyle, I will only be seeing him for future physio needs. The customer service at West End is top notch. Just like Bryan, the clinic technician/admin clerk, Pip, is incredibly polite and pleasant to talk to. She was always very helpful with setting up appointments and reminders, and was super polite and presented helpful alternatives when I needed schedule changes. I absolutely love this place and can’t recommend it enough. I know some places in the area seem to have more marketing oomph, and they’re probably great, but this place is IT.
