TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would like to start off with the studio and teacher Nikki who I had for the one class I attended was very nice. However, they have promotions for new customers to the studio, which my friend and I wanted to take part in. We decided to attend one class and see if we liked the instructor, studio and overall vibe. Which we did. When we went to the front desk, the receptionist told us that we were no longer eligible for the new-to-studio membership deal because we took 1 class! She said that we could email the owner, Aasif, who would be happy to help us and possibly make an exception. I emailed and got a response the next day from Cassie, who said we were not eligible because we took this one class, and she could help us get the full price membership instead. I decided to call and, hopefully, get on the phone with the owner, as that is who I wanted to speak to. I called, and a gentleman answered when I explained the situation very calmly and nicely, as I really did want to commit to this studio. His reply was "this is not something you just hop on to, and you should have just paid the full price in the beginning. He was aware of my email, and no exceptions would be made". I felt he was extremely rude with his tone, and I no longer wanted to bring money to someone who clearly did not care about his customers. Twenty minutes later, he called me back saying that he spoke to his "supervisor," and they would make the exception. I believe this was a lie, and he was the owner. When I started to explain that I would have to think about it, as his tone was very disrespectful, he replied "REALLY, REALLY" and hung up the phone while I was mid-sentence. I did not feel that I came off as rude, and I was disappointed with the team because I would have brought two customers along with many other friends who may have joined in on classes, too. I ended up replying to Cassie's email asking for a phone call, and it has now been two weeks with no reply. Do not waste your money on a studio that feels you should be grateful to be part of them as opposed to appreciating their customers and loyalty. Not the type of small business I want to get behind.
I’ve been attending Yoga Bodies for years because the instructors are excellent, and the vibe is always on point. It’s easily the nicest studio I’ve been to, and a big reason I keep coming back. The décor is calming, and the people are incredibly friendly. After almost a decade of coming here, I felt compelled to finally write a review and give them the credit they deserve. The owner, Asif, is What truly sets Yoga Bodies apart. He’s always fair, approachable, and accommodating, which makes a big difference and why I remain such a loyal client.
AVOID THIS STUDIO. Let’s start with the fact that little tiny black bugs were crawling all over my water bottle I had to stop sitting close to the wall as to avoid this. The owner is the absolute rudest most unkind person I have ever spoken to. I had 2 incidents where I reached out for an accommodation; first time my SICK DOG that was rushed into emergency surgery was the reason I couldn’t make the class which they responded by basically saying “we’d love to support you but we’re still charging you for the class”. The second time I had a work emergency and called to reschedule for the next available class. The owner again was just cold and rude.Hearing others experience with similar issues, it became clear that certain members saw were offered exceptions and discounts based on personal relationships or long-standing loyalty. You’ll see in all the negative reviews this is a habitual problem with the owner. I am personally looking for a yoga studio that feels like a community. If you’re looking for a studio that is comfortable, supportive and understanding THIS ISNT IT. Also this is my opinion based on my experience so yoga bodies please don’t reply with some long winded lie. Over all the staff is nice but the owner is HORRIBLE. EDIT: they said “documentation wasn’t provided” but NEVER asked for documentation, they flat out said no. If it was asked for I would have gladly provided it. So don’t lie now.
