Went down for a fishing trip. Made room arrangements, but decided to arrive earlier and contacted St Clair Motor Lodge, which was no problem. This hotel is a classy place. Very clean. Owner is also a class act, and very helpful. I remember Rough River strip by the Dam back in the 70's and this little bit of history was just what I wanted. To the owner, Everything was great and thanks for the help. I will be back!!

A very delightful stay! Aesthetically, everything is ADORABLE! There are SO many special accents in the room: wonderful toiletries and pillows and a ton of local information and communication from the owners. I personally liked the no-contact check in. The room was very, very, very clean and the property is really quiet. Ig you're outgoing, they encourage you to start a fire and socialize. I am not so I just sequestered myself but LOVED the room.

The owner, Jill, is a top-notch property manager, and the motor lodge's overall quality is also. Loved it. The attention to detail in the rooms (i.e., very neat/clean bedding, quality LVT flooring throughout, and very nice bathroom), in the parking lot (i.e., outdoor plugs above the entrance to each room for outdoor toys, namely boats), and her overall esthetic (i.e., up scale touch on retro style motel with parking lot access directly from the rooms is well balanced)... make this an easy A+ place to stay if visiting Rough River Lake State Park & Marina or the surrounding area. Can't speak more highly of the property and the extra effort Jill put into making sure all of our needs were met. Highly recommend boaters (recreation & fishing) and other visitors to consider the St Clair Motor Lodge!

Directly across the street from Falls of Rough Kentucky State Park, this is a beautiful and immaculate motel. Each room is individually decorated with a wide variety accommodations. A large common room, complete with a full kitchen and large dining table is accessible to all guests. Oh, and I'd love to take any of these mattresses home to my bed!
