Days Inn by Wyndham Paintsville

My family and I ( mom sister & myself) traveled from Michigan to take my sister back to Georgia so we stopped in Richmond Ky to get some rest for the night before continuing on to Georgia. Great value at this location. They also had a small continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank You for the good nights rest

Check in was easy and Clerk was polite, helpful. Room was fair, dirt on the bathroom floor, baseboard peeling off the wall, stains on the carpet. Bed was fairly comfortable. Check out was easy, clerk was helpful. Breakfast was subpar- only gluten free option was Frosted Flakes, I saw no lactose free milk, I saw no decaf coffee. Easy to get to and quiet.

What a disappointment. Arrived later in day. 2 people were sitting on a cement bench under the drive roof used for check-in. Had a cooler and were smoking. Right on the drivers side door within 3'. Rooms looked clean (were beds were). Bathroom had dirt in every floor corner, vent was so filthy, 1/8 dust on vents, I did not take a shower, as felt it would blow on me. Beds were good and comfortable. Flag: they ask for $100.00 security deposit (did receive back). Had no-smoking sign everywhere you looked. Smoke detector was hanging by wire from the ceiling. Back exit had people smoking in area, right next to door. Inquired if they had sheltered people staying at hotel, told only 3. Breakfast was limited, along with supplies. Guess sheltered peopled used too much, so paying customers had to suffer. Did not feel safe at all!!! Would not recommend to families or individual stayers to use this location.
