I reviewed this motel about 2 years ago, and rated it 5 stars for location, value, and cleanliness. I almost hate to give them another 5-star review only because I fear they will get so popular I won't be able to book a room. What stands out on this trip above my previous 5-star review was the management. The gentleman who checked me in was very polite and friendly and at the conclusion of our interaction said "Thank you for your business". A small gesture that genuinely left me feeling appreciated. A small conversation the next day was pleasant, but when I walked in to drop off my key at the end of my stay, the same gentleman greeted me by my first name. Genuine and classy service. As already stated, the property, room, bathroom, housecleaning, are all top notch. Don't expect a 4-star luxury hotel, but you can expect a motel that exceeds expectations.

There was a spider in our bathroom two X we stayed there, one in '24 and one in '25. That's enough to show us the house keeper is not using cleaning materials that keep the rooms free of insects! My loved one could not make the step UP into the room. It needs steps! Some construction around a shower pipe was not completed. The heater is hard to regulate and loud going on and off. This is a nice couple who need to know what to fix and they'll do better. The rooms are reasonably priced and beds comfortable.

Beautiful flowers in the front, easy free parking right outside the room, and one story, so no upstairs noise. The room had two comfortable non-swivel chairs and a round table. These features were the highlight of our enjoyable stay. We will choose Monument Mountain Motel whenever we visit Great Barrington!

This place is great. It's a classic motel. There are no extra amenities. You get a clean bed and a clean bathroom. That's it. The price is right for what you're getting. Our bed was firm, not saggy. The bathroom worked, no leaky faucets or quirky valves. The heating and cooling system quietly did its job There's no breakfast, but there are plenty of dining options within a half mile. Our front desk clerk was pleasant and efficient.
