Mariner Motel

We had a very unhappy experience with this hotel and its management. We booked at the the Commercial street location for one night at just under $500 for the night with taxes. The room did not match the photos online by a long shot. The room was shabby, with worn furniture, carpet that was so old it was not adhering to the floor. There is no person on site and you can only communicate by text. We asked to be moved and were told they were full. We communicated our displeasure with the room and the reply was “see if you can do better elsewhere “. We asked for a refund from our credit card company and were given one. Because the hotel requires a damage deposit of $150 before check in (which they did return because we left the room as we found it) the hotel made a second, unauthorized charge on THAT card for the entire reservation amount (we disputed that charge and were again given back our money by the second bank). There is no phone number to reach hotel management directly. I will never again book at an independent hotel without communication directly with a human being to confirm this is a reputable hotel and not a “bait and switch“ operation!!

Extremely disappointed with our stay here. Be very careful what you are booking, the photos are nothing at all like where we ended up. We ended up in a tiny bedroom that shares doors with other bedrooms and no bathroom. You can hear everything going on in the hall and adjacent rooms at all times. One bathroom for a floor full of rooms? It was not fun having to wait to use it. Reminded me of a hostel, but at hotel prices. Speaking of prices, this place is also on AirBnb with completely different pricing - and cheaper. So beware if you are booking through a hotel website. Also, if you are driving, expect to pay an additional $40 a day for parking in nearby lots. Lastly, we woke up to our room full of ants. Since we were traveling, we had a cooler. It was closed,, however that did not stop the entire ant population of Provincetown to come through and cover the thing and getting inside. We had to throw away everything. They got into our toiletries and clothes as well. For a one night stay this was torture. My advice, there are far better options for the price. I recommend staying at an actual hotel with parking included and really enjoy your vacation.

😊: - located middle of town, everything at door step - good air-conditioning - cleaning staff very friendly - Small but decent TV. 😢: - we ended up, not with room i originally booked from very first booking.. In a annex hotel rooms. - WE had shared toilet & shower with other room(s), never again! - Shared toilet & shower room was tiny. - This bedroom lack storage/ hanging space. We stacked the room with our clothing pods, no drawers to put them in..
