Edmonton International Airport

Very clean and organized airport. Security was friendly and was very quick. Getting to and from the airport by bus (747) is also very straightforward. One thing to note is if you travel to the airport by bus, it drops you off at arrivals, so you will need to walk up the parking lot stairs to get to departures. Overall good experience.

This was my first trip to Edmonton since leaving nearly 20 years ago. I don’t remember much from back then but it sure looks like it expanded by a lot and it looks great! It has a feel of a much larger city. I was off the plane, with my baggage, and in my rental car in less than half an hour. Maybe I was there during off peak hours but impressive nonetheless. 👍😎

We arrived at YEG around 9 PM and were surprised at how quiet and empty it was—very few people around, which made getting around super smooth. However, by midnight, the airport started getting noticeably busier. It went from peaceful to pretty crowded in just a few hours, likely due to late-night arrivals and departures. Overall, the airport was clean, signage was clear, and the staff we interacted with were helpful. If you’re flying in late, expect a calm entry, but don’t be surprised if the terminal fills up fast around midnight.
