Twice now I have tried AFC Urgent Care in Midlothian and both times the receptionist was extremely rude and told me they can't see patients. I arrived today 30 minutes before they close and she wouldn't register me. The waiting room was completely empty. While I'm writing this review, patients are coming out after being seen with a piece of paper in their hand. The receptionist told me they didn't have a provider in the building. Last time I came, it was the same thing but I had an online appt spot for 7:30. The receptionist told me she didn't want to honor it and was quite belligerent. This was a different person than the one I saw today. I was seen that day and the doctor was very nice but the front desk and one of the nurses was very rude and unhappy. They openly complained about patients and about me because I came in for my appointment time. The receptionist said, "yeah, and I told her to leave." While the doctors and practioners may be kind, good luck getting through the front lines to see them. The picture is included to show the empty waiting room at 7:44 pm. I am sitting in the parking lot to write this review. I really wish they had updated their website to say no patients for this evening b/c I have a sore throat and could have been seen elsewhere. Now, I have to wait till morning.

Isabella and her assistant were wonderful. They cleaned my wound thoroughly with saline solution and another wash. Then glued the cut and taped it with another coat of glue added. At all times I felt comfortable and confident being in their care. I was seen immediately!(I had stopped at another Urgent Care facility and was tolf" at least a 2 hour wait." A tetanus shot was received and antibiotics called into the pharmacy. Also was given follow up instructions. Thank you for excellent service

My son was being seen for a head injury with no balance, dizziness, sharp eye pains. There was no one in the waiting room and nobody in the back with the dr. It still took 55 minutes for us to be called back. Once called back they were friendly and good to work with. The not necessary wait was very bad. Also putting off the check-in work on the patient sucks. When your sick or injured, you just don't feel like doing all that. Even scanning the id and insurance card? We aren't the receptionist.

I’ve had right ear fluid and pain for the past several days & finally made a “save the spot” appointment at AFC this morning. From the front desk, to the nurse that took my vitals, to PA-C Jenny Porter, I received excellent care. All providers were attentive & compassionate & addressed my issue. I think I was there for a total of 35-40 minutes, which included my care. I really didn’t notice the overall time, but all providers apologized for the “wait,” and I certainly have waited far longer for urgent care.  I’ve been to this location a couple times and would return.
