I really dont get why people leave negative reviews of this hotel. |It is a past Hilton hotel and still holds alot of the features you would find in a 4Star Hilton. |Tatty on the rear of hotel but inside its clean and tidy and undergoing a bug refurb! New carpet smell in communal areas is great. |Pool clean and tidy and for £2 per adult a bargain! |We paid £40 per room and wer upgraded for free at check in. Absolutey a fantastic stay for our family. Only tiny issue but not major was the water being off for few hours in the day 12-3pm. |I mentioned to Sally the Ops Manager and she done her best to accomodate the issue. |Breakfast was 4/5 and absolutely passable to start the day. ||Well done to all the team. Great 1 night stay and will definately return. ||Please ignore any Negative reviews of this hotel! Believe me if i needed to write negatives i certainly would but 100% not on this occasion. ||Well done Blackpool Grand ****

We have stayed here many times. The rooms maybe a little dated but overall good enough and very good value for money. The reception area and corridors well furnished and the staff very helpful. The food is good and sometimes very good. We came back from our latest stay last night which we really enjoyed. The meals this time were very tasty!!

Absolutely would not recommend this hotel, rooms were dated and dirty, crisps under bed, shower curtain rail hanging off the wall,shower curtain was filthy with brown marks all over, bathroom dirty. Beds were missing slats, TV remote was missing. Spoke to reception, who then rectified some of the problems. Fixed the shower curtain but didn't clean up after themselves so dust and dirt was left on the side of the bath along with random screws. The food was awful, and a lot of it was inedible. Spoke to the manager who was on shift, who gave us a email address for the hotel manager, still waiting for a reply 2 months on and have sent multiple emails and also rang but he was always busy and told to ring back!! Also have got in touch with Britannia hotels too but surprise surprise after emailing them 3 times also never had a response. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Would not recommend, especially if you have little ones as definitely not safe!! We weren't the only ones to complain. spent a lot of money on a 2 night stay and was not a pleasant experience. As my little boy said it should be called the "not so grand hotel"

Awful hotel and appalling customer service.|Booked this for a weekend with my wife and was told before arrival that we'd been given a complimentary upgrade to a sea view room. As it turns out that's seaview beyond the massive car park. |On arrival we had to wade over a carpet of cigarette butts to enter the hotel where we were apparently the only guests that weekend not in a pool competition. Our room had no air con so we had to sleep with the windows open which due to the constant noise from the car park and the rest of the hotel meant neither of us slept well. The room looked like it hadn't been decorated since the '70's which was probably also the last time the mattress was changed.|We went to the bar where every table was dirty despite it not being busy. We were then served drinks in plastic glasses. I've never had that in a supposedly 4-star hotel before.|Our room was not serviced over the weekend at all.|When I raised these complaints with the duty manager I was told that someone from the management team would contact me the next day. They didn't. |When I chased, after several calls and emails, I was finally offered a reduced price return stay. Why would I want to give them more money? When I said this was not acceptable I was basically told take it or leave it. I told them I wanted it escalated to head office and heard nothing more.|I emailed the head office directly and have still had radio silence.|They say it's 4-star but I've stayed in better 2-star hotels in Turkey!|Avoid this hotel at all cost.
