Motel 6 Somerset, KY

Room was great. Beds were nice & firm. Room very clean. Shower very good pressure w good, HOT water. Service was exceptional from check-in to check-out. During breakfast, they were busy but made sure to keep the coffee full and hot. Only funkiness is getting to the spot. If southbound during traffic, make sure U r in the far right lane when exiting x-way and stay in right lane for an immediate right turn at 1st light. After that, U r home free. Family run motel. Everyone was very nice.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. When I walked in the room there was a very distinct and pungent smell. There was a huge crack in the window and a stink bug just chilling right on the window. There were dead flies in the corner by the chair and the fridge and microwave looked like they'd been through some stuff. The bathroom looked okay and the shower worked fine, but that's the only decent thing about the room I stayed in. There were several holes burned into the bedspread, from cigarettes or who knows what else. There were a few stains on the sheets and pillows and the floor also had some sort of left over spills that weren't mopped up. Then we slept. And I woke up with 5 bug bites. 3 on my face, 2 on my wrist. Then I saw a bed bug walking away with its fresh meal it got from me. When I checked out I complained to the manager but she kept insisting that "if you had given us a call last night we would have looked at it and given you a new room" but my party and I didn't see any bugs on the beds and we were tired after a concert so we just went to sleep. There was no way I could call them if I was asleep and she didn't seem to understand that. I was told I'd be getting a call back about what pest control finds on Monday then a refund will be discussed. Screw all of that. Stay away from this place, don't go cheap like I did, even if it's convenient. Spend the extra couple bucks, you'll thank yourself for it. Worst service and no accountability.

I’ve stayed at this location on and off and I can actually say that the beds are brand new along with new sheets and towels. I’m certain that there are older in circulation, but overall they serve the general purpose. If there was an issue with cleaning , all you have to do is ask someone. They will fix it and make it right. Varsha is friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The housekeeping staff that I deal with have been great to our room and my family. The maintenance man is always busy cleaning and making improvements where necessary. There is a pool and laundry The highway is noisy but honestly, once you’re in the room with your tv on it’s not that noticeable. Close to absolutely everything in one of the nicest areas in Northern Kentucky. Thank you for the cool rooms and the hot showers.
