My son was in a horrible motorcycle accident Sat Nov 15, 2025 was taken to Ochsner LSU for trauma. I want to express my gratefulness to the trauma team, surgeons , nurses , doctors, cnas and all the other staff that provided professional , compassionate , respectful and exceptional care to not only my son but to myself & my family. We are forever grateful for the quick care and surgeries my son received to save his life. We have a long road to recovery but I’ve found Ochsner care is 24/7 for every question I’ve had along with explaining things to help us better understand the procedures he has endured. Your staff sees this kind of trauma daily but your staff understood how traumatic it was for my son’s family and was quick to help reassure us he would be ok once he recovers . I have nothing but good things to say about the wonderful care and compassion of the entire team! From the time we arrived at the outpatient day surgery center through the first days in ICU, everyone has been helpful, friendly and supportive. The excellent medical care team is not only knowledgeable and thorough but they take their time to support and encourage family.

I cannot say enough about the incredible care my dad received at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport after his accident. From the very beginning, the doctors, nurses, and staff went above and beyond to give him the best chance at recovery. Their skill, compassion, and relentless dedication quite literally saved his life. A very special thank you to Nurse Rhonda, whose kindness, patience, and attentive care made all the difference. She treated my dad as if he were her own family and gave us comfort and hope during the hardest moments. We will never forget her support and encouragement. To sum this place up, this is where all the people that have Medicaid goes and the doctors don’t care about you. They will have you waiting for long periods of time or they will pick over you. You need to have private health insurance to be treated better unfortunately. That sums up America as well
