I recently stopped during a long road trip at Countryside Inn in Richmond Kentucky with my wife and two kids. We were a little turned off by some of the reviews we had read online however it was so close on I75 interstate that we decided to give it a chance. I must say, for the price, we were very impressed with the room and the staff. Our room was good size, it had a new microwave and mini fridge plus the bathrooms were more up to date then most "cheap motels". This made my wife very happy!

The manager like to play cat and mouse games. The manager will tell you one thing hides for hours and then when you try to extend the room he tell you a different price than was told to you the day before. I had spend hours trying to find someone to extend the room and could not find anyone. Was told yesterday it was going to be 500 for the week with everything included and then told it would be 697. This man is a joke, do not come here unless you want to be swindled out of your money. The room is not good either, the beds are completely filthy and the bathroom looks like it has black mold, we tolerate it as long as we can cause it's either this or being homeless but this is ridiculous. Tub gets stopped up and seems clogged cause it flows poorly, sink was dirty when we came in, lights are in poor condition we have made a joke about one light cause it flickers so bad we call it the ghost light. The conference room behind the hotel gets used every now and then and the people has blasted music causing sleeping issues. The cleaning room lady is super nice she should be the manager of the place I'm sure if she allowed to do more this hotel would be more proper than the old man that can't make up his mind.

I must give a pat on the back to the staff at Countryside Inn. I had stayed there months ago was very dissatisfied but it was the only place that I could afford at the time. I recently had a temporary job back in Richmond and needed a hotel room for a month and CSI was the perfect location and even 6 months ago it was by far the best choice in this area. So I stopped by CSI first and asked the lady at the desk if i could see the room I would be staying in and she did not mind to let me. I noticed as I was walking to the room that there were many security cameras surrounding the building which made me feel very safe. The room was shockingly different then I remember and I was actually impressed! The bathroom was updated and clean, the linens were outdated, but clean, I did not see evidence of any roaches or bedbugs, and i checked, and the TV, Microwave and mini fridge were all new and clean and working so I decided to rent the rent the room for my entire stay. The price was more then fair. I did not really have any complaints other then i will say a few different times there was a "wild bunch" staying there too and they were constantly running in and out all hours of the night which was quickly put to a stop when the staff was made aware of it. I was told by one of the ladies that worked there that they now try really hard to be more critical of who they rent to and also try to place guests that might be loud separate from families and guests that want a peaceful stay. This also impressed me. The staff was always walking the property 24\7 making sure that no one was being to loud and what not which was very nice. They really are doing a great job accomodating all different type of guests and need while still maintaining a clean, safe, affordable place to stay. Good job CSI and thank you to the staff!
