Customer experiences
I had the worst two nights of sleep ever at Quarters on DOT by Thatch. Although there’s a sign for quiet hours (10 PM–7 AM), it’s impossible for anyone to actually be quiet because every single step echoes throughout the building—especially on the staircase.||The first floor had multiple issues: the bathroom door caught on the toilet seat, the shower lacked basic dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and soap (unlike the upstairs one), and the trash can was left overflowing. Under the sink, there was an old empty box surrounded by visible mold, which was both unsightly and unhygienic.||Other details added to the poor experience. One of the most important notices was handwritten on a paper towel and barely legible, while less important signs were neatly printed. The fire alarm panel was also thick with dust, suggesting a lack of attention to upkeep.||While the noise outside was tolerable, the inside conditions made restful sleep impossible. Overall, I cannot recommend staying here unless you don’t mind sleepless nights and overlooked cleanliness issues.
Location is decent. Private room 301 was clean. The bathrooms as anything communal are hit or miss. Noise didn't bother me . Last day opted to shower at the admirals club vs hostel. Kitchen was a little smelly but I didn't spend a second there lol. Across the street is a good eating and watering hole. If you're looking for a clean private room and not too picky about amenities, this place will do. As any Hostel, travel light and don't forget the essentials.
Room was nothing special. Bed was semi comfy with a couple of nice lumps. Sheets were clean which is nice. I wasn’t a big fan of having the moldy AC unit blowing straight in my face all night. Made it hard to sleep. Sharing bathrooms with 3 other rooms wasn’t the best either. Lots of hair everywhere, pretty gross. The nearest station was also 20 minute walk away which wasn’t great.
We stayed at Quarters on DOT for a one-night stopover. The place was clean, modern, and generally comfortable. However, our room faced the main street and it got quite noisy on Saturday night—something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper.||A big shoutout to Charles from the staff, who was absolutely lovely. He helped us get quarters for the washing machine and even showed us how to use it. His kindness and helpfulness really stood out and made a difference in our short stay.||One important tip: double-check your door code before you arrive. Ours was sent via email just a few hours before check-in, and we almost got stuck outside for 60 mins trying to dig it up. Not exactly the welcome we hoped for!||If it helps, there's a Taco Bell on the next street.
The Farrington Inn is a hotel.
