TravelwithrussellI did think I was going to give this hotel a 3/5 but decided to give it a 4/5, despite the awful smell which was definitely the drains I loved the room, clean and tidy, I think they definitely have a gem here, if they renovate which I believe they are doing they will have a great hotel! The man that met me at the door was very courtliest and kind, he showed me to my room. I loved the lounge downstairs, although empty as it is low season it felt like a decent place to chill, dont think the bar was open but they did explain they have other properties and I can go there for a drink. Overall thank you Felton! will return in a year to see how the hotel has changed xxx Russell Dant

We stayed here on Saturday night, very welcoming, really attentive, the place has literally been refurbished as I've seen the before photos, it was clean, and smelled new carpets all through |Room was large, comfortable bed, private bathroom and plenty of tea and coffee|Shower was really powerful and warm |They have a large bar area and also a restaurant where you can order food. |Have a key code so you can get in and out. Will defo stay here again |We wad really happy staying here and will go again. Ignore old reviews the new owners clearly have changed things now. Take a chance you won't be disappointed, close to all amenities aswell thanks for our stay, booked online and arrived within 30 minutes
Kerry QualtersMe and my hubby booked a night here as a special treat for our son as an extra xmas present so he could see the illuminations. We booked a deluxe family room. When we arrived we waited 10 minutes for someone to arrive and check us in. When they gave us our keys it was for a tiny room with a single bed and a sink that didn't work. The best they could do for us was give us an additional room with a double bed, so we would be separated from our son. We ended up travelling for 3 hours back home feeling very disappointed. We have received no apology or our money back for the way in which we were treated.
Becky TurnerThis hotel has been recently refurbished as it’s been took over by a new owner, so don’t consider the past negative reviews. We had a lovely double room, decent size, very clean, comfy bed, new furniture and new tv. The hotel looks like it’s had new carpets throughout so it’s nice and clean with no bad smells. Its a dog friendly hotel so they are really accommodating and we had an excellent stay. My only criticism is the window was a bit draughty, but the heater in the room helped keep it warm enough. Also the shower has a missing screw in the bracket, so the shower head fell down on me off the bracket, but this was not a major issue and can easily be fixed. No doubt just a minor oversight by whoever installed the shower. The price was a bargain too, so we were exceptionally happy with our stay and glad to see the new owners have totally turned the hotel around when compared to previous reviews from a long time ago.
