Customer experiences
We recently had to visit the West Cal-Cam Hospital Women’s Center for a check-up, and what started as a quick visit turned into a couple of nights’ stay. While that wasn’t the original plan, I can’t say enough good things about the care we received during our time there. From the moment we walked in, every single person, from the interns to the nurses and doctors, was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. They made sure we were comfortable, informed, and cared for every step of the way. You can tell they truly love what they do and care about every patient that comes through their doors. Even though our stay was unexpected, the entire team made it a calm and reassuring experience. We’re so thankful for the way they treated us, and it gives us great peace of mind knowing we’ll be welcoming our baby here. Highly recommend the Women’s Center at West Cal-Cam Hospital to any expecting families in the area. You’ll be in amazing hands!
Absolute best labor and delivery staff ever! I truly could not have dreamed of a better team of doctors and nurses to care for me and my newborn. A special thank you to Ms. Jennifer S., Jennifer T., Olivia, Ms. Hope Ledet, Dr. Naeem, and Midwife Allison, your kindness, patience, guidance, and top-tier care from check-in to discharge meant the world to me. To Ms. Haley… I owe you more thanks than I can express. I have never had a nurse care for me with such compassion and dedication. You made me feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for every step of the way. Thank you all for making my birthing and postpartum experience not only comfortable, but truly unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone.
I got treated amazingly from the labor and delivery team when I delivered my son in July. I previously delivered my daughter at a different hospital in Texas and they treated me like a stranger and just another patient but the team here were absolutely wonderful. They cared for me like a friend more than a stranger. They were kind from the beginning to discharge. A special shout out to I think Brenda who was at the front desk when I came in around 12am. She was very supportive of all my choices help my partner do movements with me to progress labor. Didn’t make me stay in the bed on my back until I was ready to push. After labor they didn’t bombard me with nurse after nurse they left me rest and came and gave me anything I needed no matter how many times I rang for them. These women are pure angels and made my last child birth memorable in the best way. Many thanks to every nurse who took care of me and my little family. We will never forget the kindness and support you gave us! 🤍
I am currently a patient in this hospital and the hospital has not given me any of my medications. I have Major Depressive Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, High Blood Pressure, and tachycardia. I need those medications, I have a history of suicide attempts, with the last one being 4/11/2025 and I spent almost 2 months in the hospital. I’ve been struggling all day alternating between crying and stressing. I’m not asking for any drugs such as pain medication or mind altering drugs. I’m literally asking for my Seroquel, Prozac, and Metoprolol. Now my nurse Kristie won’t even come in my room! She sent another nurse in here. I have asked for a patient advocate and am being ignored. They asked if I had someone from home who could bring me my meds from home. No! I don’t! I’m in a hospital! They are messing with my mental health and risking my life. I’ve asked to be discharged, even AMA, if need be. And I’m still laying in this bed being ignored. I just can’t believe a hospital operates like this. I’m not going to let this go. You can’t do this to people. Patients such as myself, with mental health issues, are already looked down on and not taken seriously. I’m not crazy, screaming, or acting like a “Karen”… I just want to be respected and my needs met. Is that too much to ask for? *Update: it’s almost 1:00 am and my nurse brought my meds in. She had to get a supervisor to override their policy. I’m leaving this review up to warn others though!
